Since there are only 10 days remaining till Eid ul Fitr, I have decided to do 'an eid card a day' blog for the next 10 days to showcase some of our eid card designs that may not have been featured in our catalogues or website.
Apologies in advance for those of you who follow my blog and find yourselves bombarded with my eid cards on your dashboard!!
Well, as today is my first entry, how about a double bill? These two are part of a collection that I designed for a prestigious art gallery in the middle east. Hope you like them.

Today I am posting images of our latest Eid Card collection 'Crystal Brights'.
As mentioned previously, I took these photos down in the New Forest last month on a very bright and sunny morning.
These cards have been very popular with retailers and now with just under 3 weeks left for Eid ul Fitr, repeat orders have started to come in.

All through out the month of Ramadan, I shall be showcasing some of our bestselling Eid Cards on this blog. Today we start with one of my personal favorites from the 'Crystal Brights' collection of Eid Cards.
Here I have designed a geometric repeat pattern in shades of purple adorned with swarowski crystals in the centre.There are 5 further geometric design Eid Cards in this range in various colour pallettes. Cards are sized 150 cm square, complimented with a pearlescent envelope and come individually cello wrapped. Caption on the card front reads, Eid Muabarak .

This year we have tweaked and modified our bestselling 'festive glitz' collection of Eid Cards by changing some of the fonts aswell as the back cover. After many comments and constructive customer feedback, we decided that white backing board would be the best option in terms of finish and definitely enhances the overall eid card design. Eid Mubarak Cards

Today I'm posting further designs from the 'Crystal Brights' collection of Eid Mubarak cards. I took this picture down south last week in the beautiful new forest at sunset.
As mentioned in my previous post, the range consists of 10 bright designs, all adorned with sworovski crystals. All card measure 155 cm sq and come individually cello wrapped.

Next week we shall be launching a brand new collection of 36 Eid Card designs. Therefore in the coming days and weeks I will be featuring some of the most popular designs we have produced. All cards have been designed, handmade, printed and packaged in the UK.

Just Pink

A couple of months ago we were asked by a very lovely retailer to design and produce a complete range of 'pink' milstone cards, photo albums and keepsake boxes for their new 'just pink' online gift shop.
Apparently they were so well recieved that they completely sold out of there 21', 30' and 40' age cards in the first week of stocking them! They have are now placed their second order and we have also agreed to design a printed version of the sequin designs.

Father's Day Cards & Gifts

With Father's Day rapidly approaching (19th of June), I thought I'd share with you some of our best selling cards that I designed earlier on in the year for that special man in your life!
Silver or sky blue swarowski crystals are adorned on all cards in this range.
Cards are printed on 270gsm textured natural FSC accredited linen board and come with complimentry matching envelopes.

Bank Hoilday

I hope everyone had a relaxing bank holiday weekend. Well as you may well know, I have been away for the past 5 weeks and although I've been back nearly 2 weeks now, I still had not quite got into 'work mode' until the bank holiday weekend hit me with an astounding amount of orders that I was not expecting!
Most of them are personnalised orders which I shall be working on over the two next weeks, however I managed to pick and pack the above orders which are now ready for the post office.

Walima Card Designs

Today I would like to share this gorgeous bespoke wedding card design that we created for a lovely couple in Edinburgh.
Wedding cards are not something that we advertise hugely, however we constantly pick up orders and bespoke requests from customers who have either received or purchased a Sabah Designs greeting card.
The brief by the couple was to design and create wedding stationary with a midnight blue theme. They wanted luxury and bling, so we craeted this lovely wedding invite using deep blue velvet fabric adorned with layers and layers of glitter!

Todays post is brimming with tons of love with many a heart designs to choose from.......well it is the month of Febuary! So my next few posts will focus on valentine related designs.
The above images are all from our 2011 valentines collection called 'Sew ....Loved up'. There are 8 designs in total, all either hand or machine embroidered using a variety of embroidery techniques on different coloured organza fabrics. I absolutely LOVE this dresser!

Last week I had an appointment in Loughborough with a gift shop named Gifts @ 46, Its owned by a very friendly lady called Libby who also owns the clothes boutique next door called 'Libbys'. Whilst there, I could not resist taking these pictures of some of the gorgeous things she stocks. Everything is so colour co ordinated and every where you look Libby has very cleverly put together a theme, as you can clearly see from these photos.
Our new seasons cards will be stocked here this month along with new cotton bunting and personnalised picture frames.

New Year...New Inspirations

Hello all and a very belated happy new year to all you design addicts out there. After a well earnt Christmas break we are back in the office, refreshed and in full form!
January for me is usually one of the busiest times of the year as it means 'trade show time' and releasing most if not all of our new seasons ranges. Valentines and Mother's Day have always been our strongest selling occasions followed by Weddings and Anniversary cards.
However, after thinking long and hard I have decided not to do the spring trade shows this year as I really wanted to re examine some very important areas of my business which will take up alot of my time these next few months.
I have been organising the office during the christmas break and now we have alot more shelfing.....woop woop!
I've also got my self a very pretty 2011 organiser / diary thing to jot down those all important appointmnets.
Oh and yeah... I've finally got round to making a 'mood board' with lots of inspirational ideas. I shall be blogging about that very soon in a seperate post.
The good news is that our dedicated sales agents are working hard, carrying all of Sabah Designs latest goodies hopefully in an area near you. A quick update as to what's hot at the moment at Sabah Designs Studios. We've been rushed of our feet these past few weeks with packing and dispatching christmas orders and twice a day trips to the post office. Postal delays due to the severe snow last week had a serious impact on deliveries and we too got caught in the middle of it. Not on The High Street

After meeting me at Top Drawer Spring this January I was invited by upmarket online gift retailer Not On The High Street to become a partner, which of course I was delighted to. However, Top Drawer Spring bought some astounding orders and new sales agents our way, which meant one thing....lack of time to develop this exciting venture. So June this year, just before I got rushed off my feet again with the Harrogate home & gift show, I finally became a partner of NOT ON THE HIGH STREET. The Harrogate show again proved to be a busy one for us with year on year sales up by 28%. By the end of September signs of normality were gradually beginning to show in the office, this is when I finally got the chance to sit down and design my new products which I've been wanting to for such a long time. Although, at the moment I have only uploaded Christmas cards on to the website, my new products include embroidered bunting, chiffon scarfs, picture frames, keepsake boxes and photo albums. I'm hoping and waiting for some brighter days ahead so that I can capture the beauty of my products outdoors.
